In a modest workshop located at the heart of bustling Kanpur, East India, master craftsman Raju, his two sons and eight local craftsmen have come together to create some of the most extraordinary, vintage-inspired pieces we have ever seen.
With over 20 years of experience, Raju and his craftsmen ensure each leather piece is handcrafted with care, using traditional Indian techniques that have been passed down through generations.
For the craftsmen, their move from large factories was not only a moral one, with many mass-production industries adopting unethical and unsustainable working practices, but was also in an effort to preserve traditional artisanry in their community.
Supporting Raju's desire to grow and expand his workshop will not only enable him to pass on a wealth of knowledge to his sons, provide job opportunities for local craftsmen and contribute to sustainable development in his wider community, but gives you a tangible part of cultural heritage that will last a lifetime.
